French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian says the final decision on reviving the nuclear deal is just days away, and now it is up to Iran to make a political choice.
“We have reached the summit; now it is not a matter of weeks, it is a matter of days,” the French foreign minister told parliament.
He is referring to the final decision on reviving the nuclear deal; The French foreign minister also said that Western powers, along with China and Russia, agreed with the general outlines of the agreement.
“The Iranians must make a political decision; in the coming days they will either start a serious crisis or accept an agreement that serves the interests of all parties,” said Jean-Yves Le Drian.
Indirect talks between Iran and the United States to revive the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the BRICS, began last week with representatives from Britain, China, France, Germany and Russia.
Western diplomats had previously hoped for success in the talks to date; But some key issues remain unresolved.
Iran has rejected a deadline set by Western countries.
Some diplomats say the longer the agreement is reached, the more Iran will acquire nuclear expertise, and the shorter it will be if Iran wants to acquire a nuclear weapon.
The diplomats also said that the talks are now in the final stage and an agreement is available.
