Iraqi Kurdistan is the most dangerous place in the world for Iranian Kurdish refugees, but if we look at it from another angle, Iraqi Kurdistan is in fact an island and an exile from which there is no hope of getting rid.
Last month, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it had arrested a terrorist group in the border areas of Kurdistan.
A few weeks later, it became clear that the detainees were in fact Kurdish refugees from Iran, who were trying to smuggle themselves from the border areas of Iranian Kurdistan to the Turkish border and migrate to Europe.
Ms. Kajan Samadi and her daughter Shilan, along with Wirya Moayed, Ali Sahraei, and Nawaz Karimi, former members of the Komala, an Iranian opposition political party, were living as refugees in Iraqi Kurdistan and wanted to flee to Turkey, but in the border areas of Baneh they were arrested.
But why did they choose this dangerous way, that is, why did they want to cross the territory of the country from which they fled and reach Turkey?
The answer is easy. Iranian Kurdish asylum seekers have no rights after living in Iraqi Kurdistan for several years, they are not granted citizenship and passports. UNHCR is also semi-active and does not take any action to transfer Iranian Kurdish asylum seekers to a third country.
In recent years, Iranian Kurdish refugees in Iraqi Kurdistan have been smuggled to Turkey via the Iraqi-Turkish border. Of course, this route was no less dangerous, because sometimes they were arrested and extradited to Iran before leaving Turkey for Greece or introducing themselves to the UNHCR in Turkey.
Over the past two years, Turkish attacks on Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) forces have intensified in the border areas of Iraqi Kurdistan. A full-scale war has been going on in the border areas of Iraqi Kurdistan and Turkey since April 17. last month two Danish tourists who had lost their way in these areas ,by an explosion landmine, one of them was killed and the other was seriously injured.
According to the law, Iranian Kurdish asylum seekers are only allowed to travel to the four provinces under the control of the Kurdistan Regional Government, which means that they cannot enter areas under the control of the Iraqi federal government. Because they are in danger of being arrested and even extradited to Iran when they enter other parts of Iraq, especially since Iran has a lot of influence in Iraq. For this reason, Iranian Kurdish asylum seekers cannot reach a country like Jordan through Iraqi territory.
Given this, the only way left for Iranian Kurdish refugees in Iraq to immigrate is the most dangerous option. Covert crossing of Iran’s border areas, if arrested, will face serious and fabricated charges, and their arrival in Turkey is the beginning of new problems for them. If they are lucky and not arrested, they will have to take the dangerous route between Turkey and Greece, and later Greece and Italy by unsafe boats and ships, and if they are lucky, they will have to wait a few more years for their asylum application to be approved in the destination country.
Therefore, in view of this case, it is necessary for the UNHCR and other relevant organizations to try to find a suitable solution for the safe travel of Iranian Kurdish refugees in Iraq.

دوای تێپه‌ڕبوونی چه‌ند هه‌فته ده‌ركه‌وت كه له راستیدا ئه‌وانه په‌ناخوازانی رۆژهه‌ڵاتی کوردستانن كه به نیازبوون به شێوه‌ی شاراوه و به قاچاخ له رێگه‌ی ناوچه سنوورییه‌كانی رۆژهه‌ڵاتی كوردستانه‌وه خۆیان بگه‌یه‌ننه توركیا بۆ ئه‌وه‌ی به‌ره‌و ئه‌وروپا كۆچ بكه‌ن.
كه‌ژان سه‌مه‌دی و كچه‌كه‌ی به ناوی شیلان له‌گه‌ڵ هه‌ریه‌ك له وریا موئه‌ید، عه‌لی صه‌حرایی و نه‌وزاد كه‌ریمی كه وه‌ك پناخواز له هه‌رێمی كوردستان ده‌ژیان و به نیازبوون كه خۆیان بگه‌یه‌ننه توركیا، به‌ڵام سه‌ر سنووری بانه ده‌ستگیركرابوون.
به‌ڵام بۆچی ئه‌م رێگه پڕ مه‌ترسیه‌یان هه‌ڵبژارد، واته په‌ڕینه‌وه به خاکی ژێر دەسەڵاتی دەوڵەتێک لەدەستی هه‌ڵاتوون و ده‌یانه‌وێت له‌وێوه خۆیان بگه‌یه‌ننه توركیا؟
وه‌ڵامه‌كه‌ی دژوار نییه. په‌ناخوازانی رۆژهه‌ڵات دوای چه‌ندین ساڵ مانه‌وه له هه‌رێمی كوردستان ناتوانن ببنه خاوه‌نی ره‌گه‌زنامه و پاسپۆرت بۆ ئەوەی بە شێوەیەکی پارێزراو گەشت بکەن. كۆمیساریای باڵای په‌نابه‌ران نیوه كارایه و له رووی گواستنه‌وه‌یان بۆ وڵاتی سێهه‌م هیچ هه‌نگاوێك نانێت.
له ساڵانی رابردوودا په‌ناخوازانی رۆژهه‌ڵات له هه‌رێمی كوردستان له رێگه‌ی سنووری نێوان هه‌رێم و توركیاوه به قاچاخ خۆیان ده‌گه‌یانده توركیا. هه‌ڵبه‌ت ئه‌م رێگه‌یه‌ش كه‌م مه‌ترسی نه‌بوو، به‌هۆی ئه‌وه‌ی هه‌ندێك جار به‌ر له‌وه‌ی توركیا به‌ره‌و یونان جێبهێڵن یان به‌ر له‌وه‌ی خۆیان به نوێنه‌رایه‌تی كۆمیساریای باڵای په‌نابه‌رانی نه‌ته‌وه‌یه‌كگرتووه‌كان بناسێنن ده‌ستگیر ده‌كران و چه‌ندین كه‌س به‌و جۆره راده‌ستی ئێران كراونه‌ته‌وه.

به‌له‌به‌رچاوگرتنی ئه‌وه، تاكه رێگه كه ده‌مێنێته‌وه بۆ په‌ناخوازانی رۆژهه‌ڵات، مه‌ترسیدارترین بژارده‌یه. په‌ڕینه‌وه له ناوچه سنوورییه‌كانی رۆژهه‌ڵات، ئه‌گه‌ر ده‌ستگیر بكرێن رووبه‌ڕووی تۆمه‌تی قورس و داتاشراو و سزای دژوار ده‌بنه‌وه، ئه‌گه‌ریش بگه‌نه خاكی توركیا سه‌ره‌تای كێشه‌ی نوێیه. چونکه گه‌ر به‌ختیان هه‌بێت و ده‌ستگیرنه‌كرێن پێویسته رێگه‌ی مه‌ترسیداری نێوان توركیا و یۆنان و دواتر یۆنان و ئیتالیا به به‌له‌م و كه‌شتی نه‌پارێزراو بپێون و له ئه‌گه‌ری گه‌شتنیشیان بە وڵاتێكی ئه‌وروپی ده‌بێت چه‌ند ساڵیتر وه‌ك په‌ناخواز چاوه‌ڕێی وه‌رگرتنی مافی په‌نابه‌رین بن.
بۆیە، ئەم کەیسە مایەی راوەستە لەسەرکردن و دروستکردنی گوشارە لە سەر UNHCRو لایەنە پەیوەندیدارەکانی تر کە بیر لە رەخساندنی دەرفەتی گەشتی بێ مەترسی و پارێزراو بۆ پەناخوازانی رۆژهەڵات بکەنەوە.
