Iran has executed four Arab citizens on charges of what it calls “terrorist activities and operations.”
Human rights groups say the four were executed while they were visiting their families an hour ago, but family members were not told it was their “last visit”.
“The death sentences of Jasem Heidari, Ali Khosraji, Hossein Silavi and Nasser Khafajian, four political prisoners, were carried out in Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz,” HRANA Human Rights News Agency wrote. “Although the executions took place minutes after their last meeting with the families, the prison authorities did not inform the families of the citizens of the execution.”
Meanwhile, the Revolutionary Guards’ Tasnim news agency identified three of those executed as assailants who took part in an armed attack on a police station in 2017 that killed two police officers.
