At 21:30 p.m. Monday, five rockets were fired at the city of Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan.
Three rockets reportedly exploded in the city and two at Erbil airport.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Interior of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, several Erbil residents were injured in the rocket attack.

One person was killed and nine others were injured in the attack.

A group called “Awliya Dam”, an Iranian-backed Shiite group, has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Earlier, on September 30, 2020, six rockets were fired at Erbil Airport, causing no casualties.
