The Islamist government of Turkey has issued an arrest warrant for 101 Kurdish activists
Following the policies of the Islamist government of Turkey, in order to suppress political and civil activists, the Attorney General issued an arrest warrant for 101 Kurdish activists.
Among those arrested are 24 lawyers and a number of writers and journalists.
Since 2016, there have been nearly 10,000 political activists, including the co-chairs of the People’s Democratic Party (HDP) and a number of elected parliamentarians and municipal administrators, as well as dozens of journalists and more than 70 writers.
The Islamist government of Turkey, led by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has stepped up its pressure on the opposition over the past four years.
