KMMK:
The Kurdistan Human Rights Association, while commemorating the memory of Iqbal Moradi, a member of the organization’s leadership, on the anniversary of the assassination of this prominent East Kurdistan activist, declares that his case remains unclear and unresolved, and calls on the authorities of the South Kurdistan Autonomous Government to identify and resolve the case.

Iqbal Moradi, a former political activist, human rights activist and member of the leadership of the Kurdistan Human Rights Association, the father of the executed political prisoner Zanyar Moradi and the uncle of Loghman Moradi, another executed political prisoner, was involved in the struggles of Kurdish political parties from a young age.
Iqbal Moradi was repeatedly threatened with assassination and repeatedly targeted, but eventually lost his life in one of these assassinations.
The child and nephew were also sentenced to death by the Islamic Republic of Iran in an open case and then executed.

The Human Rights Association of Kurdistan, while reminding and condemning the terrorism of the Islamic Republic of Iran, calls on the Autonomous Government of South Kurdistan to immediately determine the task of this assassination case and the perpetrators of this crime.
It has been two years since the assassination of this human rights activist and a member of the leadership of the Kurdistan Human Rights Association, but judicial and governmental officials in the southern Kurdistan region have not released any information or news regarding the status of the case.
The Human Rights Association of Kurdistan, while commemorating Iqbal Moradi, blames the Islamic Republic of Iran for the assassination until the results of the South Kurdistan government’s investigation are announced.
